entertainment company filed for its initial public offering today under
the NYSE ticker symbol "AC", according to an EFFECT amendment to its
S-1 filing with the SEC. The offering is expected to help the company raise up to $500 million.
McDonald's Corporation (MCD)
The fast food
company announced that it would hike its dividend by 50% and promised
to continue returning cash to shareholders, according to an 8-K filing with the SEC. The move was considered by many shareholders to be long overdue but is a step in the right direction.
Spectrum Pharma (SPPI)
The pharmaceutical company said the FDA has accepted the amendment to the NDA for ISO-Vornin, according to a press release. The company expects the FDA to decide on the approval of the injection by January 11, 2008.
Sirius Satellite Radio (SIRI)
The satellite
radio company shares rallied this week on hopes that the company will
finalize its merger pact with XM Radio. While there has been much
speculation about a possible combination with shares in the company up
over 20% this year, there is still no finalized agreement.
Dick's Sporting Goods (DKS)
The outdoor equipment retailer announced that it would issue a 2:1 stock split today, according to a press release. Shareholders are hoping this move could help lower the stock price to levels investors are more comfortable with trading.
